• Nurture the Next Generation of Handmaids

Encourage sisters in formation who are shaping the future of religious life. Support their academic studies, new missions, and expanding ministries as they deepen in their vocation and discern how God is calling them to grow. Your generosity allows Handmaids to grow in Ignatian leadership, expand ministerial skills and continue deepening in their discernment and lived charism of reparation.

• Support Senior Sisters

Our senior sisters have dedicated their lives to prayer, service, and living the Gospel. As they age, their needs shift— yet their desire to live their vocation with purpose and intentionality remains steadfast. Your support helps provide enrichment programs, wellness resources, and assistance with unexpected needs. These gifts honor their lifelong commitment and ensure they continue to live with dignity, connection, and spiritual vitality.

• Provide Retreatant Scholarships at St. Raphaela Center

Open the door for individuals to experience spiritual renewal. Every year, we host ministry leaders, healthcare workers, caregivers, educators, individuals who work in nonprofits and those laboring for justice with marginalized communities. We also host participants and recipients of social service and pastoral outreach programs. Many individuals and groups simply do not have budgets that allow them to retreat and engage in reflection, planning and renewal. Your gift to the Retreatant Scholarship Fund provides access to programs, meals, and lodging for people who may not have the financial resources to afford a retreat. Your support ensures that no one seeking connection or spiritual renewal is turned away and sustains our long-standing tradition of hospitality. Rooted in Ignatian spirituality, St. Raphaela Center is a place of encounter where people of all faith traditions find a place and time for God, nurture their inner life, and experience healing, wholeness, and renewal.

How You Can Help:

• $25 - Support the transportation of a sister in formation to their ministry site (hospital chaplaincy, food bank, senior community center, etc.)
• $100 - Give the gift of a retreatant scholarship to someone in need of respite
• $250 - Enable an individual to gain spiritual renewal through a full weekend retreat
• $500 - Support a senior sister with wellness and enrichment resources
• $1,000 - Support a non-profit agency or humanitarian organization to bring their staff on a day-long community-building retreat
• $2,500 support a sister in formation in her continued education of becoming a Spiritual Director

Any amount to the Handmaids or St. Raphaela Center opens the door to spiritual growth and the flourishing of God's dreams in our world.

In addition to financial support, you may also have time and energy. Expand how you give on #GivingTuesday! We are always ready to welcome volunteers to support the work of our ministries.

At St. Raphaela Center, you can support our ministry by volunteering your time weekly, monthly, or on special occasions. Volunteering comes in many forms.

We welcome volunteer support:

• Serving meals through Dining Services
• Caring for areas of the House and Grounds
• Greeting guests and being a presence of Hospitality
• Assisting with technology and mentoring on Google Apps and Microsoft Office
• Providing Spiritual Direction or Program Ministry
• Offering your musical talents at our 2nd Wednesday Taizé service, our 2nd Sunday Mass, and retreat liturgies
• Collaborating with the Handmaids in their ministry of prayer and Adoration by committing to a regular time in our chapel
